Where should I park?

There is free 2 hour parking along Thayer Lane, Crescent Street and Rose Biggi Avenue. There is also a paid parking garage 2 blocks East at the intersection of Thayer Lane and Rose Biggi Avenue. Please do not park directly across from Formation in The Westgate’s parking lot. They will tow. Jerks.

How do I purchase Hairstory, R+Co, and Nutrafol products through Formation?

Just click on the affiliate link on our homepage. Affiliate links are awesome as they reduce the space needed to stock in-house, they ship directly to your door, and they support our small business.

Why aren’t there just Men’s haircuts and Women’s haircuts to choose from?

Not everyone identifies as a man or a woman and Formation is for all genders. Booking by length also provides us the appropriate amount of time as longer hair usually takes longer. Men can have long hair and women can have short hair. Please see our service descriptions to help you choose the appropriate length and let us know if you have any questions.

Do you offer color services?

We offer a simple grey blending color service that is recommended for short hair only and for 50% grey or less. It usually doesn’t cover the grey completely, and is meant to be more of a camouflage. We do not offer any other color services.

Is a shampoo included?

Yes, a basic shampoo is included with all haircuts by request. If you would like a more relaxing shampoo experience, check out The Upgrade Shampoo!

What is your cancellation policy?

We ask that you please give us 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice or no-show, you will be asked to put a credit card on file to book your next appointment. With a card on file, you will be charged 50% for less that 24 hours notice and 100% for no-shows.

Do you take walk-ins?

We are happy to accommodate walk-ins when scheduling allows. However, we strongly encourage appointments as walk-in availability is typically limited.

What does the “+” mean on your service menu? ($48+)

Different service providers have different prices. For instance, The Short Haircut starts at $48, but can go up to $60. When booking, it will show you the price for each service provider before you choose.

Do you offer any discounts?

During The Formation Annual Sale we offer Gift Cards at 15% off to say thank you to our loyal clients. We do not offer any other discounts. If you are experiencing economic hardship and are seeking pro-bono work please email us at info@formationhair.com.

Why don’t you have a receptionist?

Working without a dedicated front desk receptionist allows us to keep our costs down and encourages a team environment. We ask that you please leave a voicemail when we are unable to take your call and appreciate your understanding.
